Classroom Structure and Organization

In classrooms across the world, the rooms' settings seem to be deliberately in disarray.  While students are learning, this might be okay, but the fact is that it is the teachers' job to provide a learning environment in which students can learn.  Schools' environments are equally important to this effect; so it will depend in great part on the teachers to influence attitudes and behaviors by placing special attention on the design and organization of classrooms.  Factors such as these might seem easy to overlook, however, if ignored, they can affect learning, and contribute to the overall development of all students.  By understanding how the learning process occurs, and how these important factors so drastically impact learning, teachers can obtain and improve achievement of their main goal:  Students' success.

A well organized and structured classroom can provide better options to increase student learning; therefore higher achievement results.

Detailed Analysis Matrix:

(Beautiful Christmas cards to share with children).

Is this a good website?
This is in fact a very good website.
Yes.  Great website too.  I found planning tips, journals, and excellent activities to consider.
I found this website to be awesome!

Another great website!
Is it a supportive environment for students?
This website offers a great variety of examples that would support the learning environment for all students.  I loved to see examples on how to book Parent-Teacher conferences and tips on how to keep lines of communication between parents and teachers open.
This website supports learning environment for all children because the activities listed there are fantastic.  My favorites were “Fun with Poetry Journals” and Learning With Penguins”.
This website supports     environment for students because it shows how the holidays are celebrated around the world.

I found this website definitely supportive for students.
Is it easy for teachers to use?
I found out that this website is very easy to use.  It shows examples that in the opinion of the person who posted them, the examples work to the teachers’ advantage.
This website is very easy for teachers to use because I admire how to avoid the children to just read, it is evident that the teacher wants that reading to be meaningful for her students.
With the Christmas holiday just past us, I found this website appropriate and very helpful while talking to a class about the Christmas holiday.
In this website, teachers give tips on tutoring in efforts to bring students’ grades up.
Is it informative for future and current teachers?
I believe this website is informative for future and current teachers as well because it shows explicitly how the teachers utilize their knowledge in effective ways that highly benefit the different types of learners.
This website shows how to utilize the reading skill.  We know how important it is for everyone to read.  The teacher uses “reading logs”.  Also, her lecture before readings and the “book hunt” while students read is a great idea to identify words that they have read as practice for reading, spelling, and reading comprehension.
The website shows ways in which the Christmas holidays represent yet another opportunity for children to learn.  As if just celebrating the holiday wasn’t already enough, with all the food, friends, and family, this teacher shows her students countries on a map, and the different languages spoken in the different countries.
In this website I found out that with tutoring being such a helpful tool for students’ success, teachers are committed to do just that in different academic areas, providing materials and technology to extend their learning to its fullest.

It is nearly impossible to become masterful at anything worthwhile without feedack .  As future teachers, we face a path full of complex tasks with many variables.  If we talk about the main teacher's goal, Accomplished Teaching, it is exactly the type of task that I am referring to in this blog.  To teach so that all students learn is daunting.  How is it exactly that we can become masters at the craft that we have chosen?
Searching these websites, I have learned that as future teachers, we need feedback.  Focusing on our mission, being consistent, punctual, and keeping all sorts of communication lines open for our students become keys to Accomplished Teaching; which involves:
Passion, planning, quality first time instruction, student engagement, clear objectives, and using technology as a tool in the learning process.
I believe that the journey of creating, communicating, calibrating, and executing this task is a huge challenge.  In effort to getting the feedback that will support us as future teachers it is imperative that we drop our defenses, and open ourselves to these awesome tips and ideas, necessary for us to become accomplished masters of our craft.
     With this said,

"I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist...
Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the
medium is the human mind and spirit."  John Steinbeck.

Our passion in what we do becomes also our passion for the success of our students.

Classroom Activities

Classroom arrangement affects classroom management directly.  So much, that it can represent success or defeat as far as learning is concerned.  Classrooms organized with different activity centers allow students to experiment real life activities that consequently lead them into learning.  Activities performed in learning centers, allow students to develop their intelligence.  This is a lot like flying in an airplane with an experienced pilot who has completed successfully many hours of landing practice versus another pilot who has never experienced the landing excercise.  Who's plane would you feel most comfortable flying with?
Students must be stimulated into learning; the different activities in a classroom have a very special value.  In order to master a new concept or sharpen another one, a child must play with that behavior.  That's the reason why great teachers never forget how effective play can be an educative tool.  Rather than hearing about how to or not to do a behavior; students will develop greater understanding  about it if such behavior is taught via experience.  The ticket to learning success!

Classroom Arrangement

For Accomplished Teaching,

there is no limit to effective ways to arrange a classroom, and it is very difficult to copy another teacher's ideas unless the teachers have the same exact materials and room layout.  Teachers should not feel like there is one certain right way.  The process of arranging a classroom is intuitively related to each teacher's own creativity and knowing that it will be changed many times while they adjust things for their students needs. While setting up a classroom, it is important to decide how it will be divided.  Personally, I love a center based classroom.  Mine is divided into different subject areas such as:  Science, Math, Reading/Library, Manipulative activities, and Art among several others.
